Another challenging situation that we had was when a mistake in a building permit was made, which resulted with us building a house 12 inches higher than what the zoning by-laws allowed for that area. We organized to have the house supported and lifted using numerous hydraulic jacks spaced in critical areas of the house. Once assured the load of off the foundation walls and on the jacks instead. Patience and perseverance have a magical effect before which difficulties disappear and obstacles vanish.
